CHILDREN'S MINISTRY NEWS
The Greenville Oaks Children's Ministry partners with families to plant and nurture God's Word in the hearts of children by:
Teaching and applying Bible knowledge.
Building relationships with God and others.
Providing a welcoming and safe place to learn.
Worshiping God in reverent and engaging ways.
A full program of Children's Bible classes are offered for newborns through sixth grade.
Nursery
The Nursery Center cares for and teaches babies from birth through 36 months. You can check your child in at any time. Your child will be well cared for during class and worship time.
Preschool
Age-appropriate Bible lessons for children age three through Kindergarten are taught through a thematic interactive approach that introduces biblical stories matched to spiritual growth themes.
Elementary
First through third grade classes walk children through the Bible in engaging ways and provide applications that are easy for this age group to understand. Fourth grade emphasizes the overall view of the Bible and reinforces how to use the Bible for individual study. Fifth and sixth graders meet together for thematic studies that are relevant to teaching preteens how to grow in spiritual maturity.
NOTE: The safety of our children is one of our highest priorities. A professional background check is completed on everyone who works with children (from birth through high school) and all volunteers must complete "Safe Place" training.
Children in fourth grade and younger must be checked in before going to the nursery, class or children's worship. Parents can sign their children in at any of several convenient locations throughout the building.
