Ministry

The church exists to minister to people. We demonstrate God's love to others by meeting their spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical needs. The church is to "...equip the saints for the work of ministry." (Eph 4:12 NRSV) "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." (Heb 13:16)

Ministries that work together to help people find and provide opportunities to serve others include.

  • Finding Your Fit Class
  • Benevolence
  • Hospital Visitation
  • Blood Drive
  • Ministry Awareness
  • Membership Involvement

“Hope” at Greenville Oaks is designed to provide an opportunity and the support needed to process feelings such as fear, hurt, frustration and anger that are often associated with painful circumstances. By combining mental health concepts with biblical truths, spiritual and personal growth can be promoted in a safe and confidential environment.

In Luke 4:18–19, Jesus reads the prophecy from Isaiah proclaiming Him to be the One who can bind up the brokenhearted, provide freedom for captive prisoners and release the oppressed. The desire and aim of Hope is to model the healing ministry of Jesus Christ and to point those who are hurting to the One who can heal.

Hope is structured so that new group members can join at any time and remain in the group for the duration of the healing process. Hope meets in the Fireside Room on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:50 p.m. Child care is provided from 6:30 to 7:00 (prior to Bible class time).
